Music and energy policy

I'm a bit grumpy today because I missed a few hours of sleep last night. But my day was greatly improved by a couple of web surfing treasures that I unearthed over lunch. I thought I'd share the joy.

First, NPR has a recording of Radiohead's last US concert available to stream online. I'd heard that the band chose to webcast this show ... but was not able to enjoy it. I was lucky enough to attend one of the early concerts in this tour in St. Louis in May. I was not disappointed.

Second (and significantly more geeky), I came across a very nice summary of sensible (and politically impossible) energy tax policy from a former Bush economic adviser. It is a speech given by Greg Mankiw. A clear case for simple taxes on carbon / gasoline.
