I finished!!
13 hours,38 minutes.
It was an extremely tough day, with winds and heat that made the bike course a real test. There were a record number of DNFs (people who did not finish the race). Most of them simply couldn't get through the bike course fast enough and missed the cutoff time. Others dropped out. I saw several cyclists pull to the side of the course and lay down in the ditch.
I thought that I could finish an hour or two faster, but didn't have any time goals. So I am very happy. Very, very happy. Mission accomplished.
