Back!

I just got back into town and loaded up my pictures first thing so that I could take a look for myself. What an incredible time! I even got a few good shots of it all. Please bear with me -- I may take a bit of time writing up the trip. Call me if you want to hear about it. I could talk about it for hours.

Yesterday and early this morning, I was ready to leave. Halfway to Seattle, I wanted to turn the plane around. I definately could have stayed a bit longer (read: indefinately).

For something completely different, check out his example of brand consultants gone far, far out of control. I had heard about this, but not seen it until today. Northwest Airlines is getting a brand makeover and is repainting all their planes. Their new identity is "nwa" (got to love the nod to Dr. Dre) and they have a new logo. The logo is quite nice and works well on the port side of their planes, but check out how they decided to paint the logo on the starboard side. Hey genious, which way is the compass pointing?! I can just hear echoes of that planning meeting: "It's inconsistent, but we feel that it is more important to move the arrow to always portray the company as moving forward." This is the funniest thing since "Monday."

... or United's launch of their new low-fare airline, "TED". You know, United without "You" and "I". Doh.
